Is our Google Tag Manager (GTM) correctly set up for Userguest?
How to verify that Userguest tracking is working correctly in GTM
How to verify GTM is set up correctly
Step 1 — Open GTM Preview Mode
Go to tagmanager.google.com, select your container, and click Preview in the top right.
Step 2 — Enter your website URL
Type your hotel website URL and click Connect. A new tab will open with your website and a GTM debug panel at the bottom.
Step 3 — Check that Userguest tags are firing
In the debug panel, look for tags with "Userguest" in the name. They should appear under Tags Fired when you load the page.

What to do if something looks wrong
Don't worry — just contact your CSM and share a screenshot of the GTM preview. Our team will review and fix any issues promptly.
Good to know
- GTM access is required for Userguest to install and update tracking without needing your IT team each time
- If access was removed or changed, see the article "What should we do if GTM access was removed or changed?"
💡 Your CSM monitors tracking quality regularly. If there's an issue, we'll usually spot it before you do.
